The short version

JamesGraham.online uses optional Google Analytics only after you choose to allow it. Advertising and personalized ad features are disabled. If you subscribe to Field Notes, the site stores the email address you provide in a private database so future updates can be sent.

This page describes the current technical setup of the site. It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.

Analytics choices

Analytics storage is denied by default. The Google Analytics library is not loaded unless you select Allow analytics.

• Your choice is stored in your browser using local storage under the key jgo_analytics_consent_v1.
• If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 may set first-party measurement cookies and receive information about pages viewed, approximate location, device or browser details, and referral information.
• Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in this site’s configuration.
• If you decline or later withdraw permission, analytics consent is set to denied and the site attempts to remove its first-party Google Analytics cookies.

You can reopen the consent controls at any time with the Analytics preferences button in the footer.

Email subscriptions

The Follow the Experiment form collects the email address you submit. The private subscriber record also stores an active status, the form source, and created and updated timestamps.

The address is used for occasional Field Notes updates. The current site is not configured to sell subscriber data or use it for personalized advertising. The form includes a hidden spam trap and a timing check to reduce automated submissions.

What the site does not currently collect

There is no public account system, payment checkout, behavioral advertising network, or general contact form on JamesGraham.online. Links to other websites, including LinkedIn, The Tourney List, the Medulloblastoma Initiative, and Capcy, are governed by those sites’ own privacy practices.

Your choices

• Choose No thanks when the analytics prompt appears.
• Use Analytics preferences in the footer to change the choice stored in this browser.
• Do not submit the Field Notes form if you do not want the site to store your email address.
• Use the LinkedIn link on this site to request help with a subscription record or privacy question.

Changes to this page

If the site adds a contact form, advertising, a new email provider, or another material data use, this page will be updated before that new use is treated as part of the normal site experience.
